    Wow. Those eyes are so flipping adorable! Unfortunately, my grandma drilled me on how frogs/toads can give you warts (I used to try to catch the ones in her front yard!), so I'm a little afraid of them... But can definitely appreciate the love other people have for them, and their natural beauty!

    Just curious, what's the reasoning behind the name peacock frog?

    They are called the Peacock tree frog or Leptopelis vermiculatus. The peacock name is because as they get older their sides and legs get all kinds of flashy shiny colors like peacock feathers.

    Yeah they are much smaller. More like a larger reed frog.

    Thanks, I was very happy with them myself. Not bad for pics taken through a glass enclosure.
