I believe there is actually a device you can plug your stuff into that will monitor it. I've been afraid to find out though

yea, my aunt and gfs mom is like, my bill is going, up guess its getting warmer and the central air is doing it, lol ys ma'm that is it. but im hoping my new rack will take some cents off instead of having 5 tubs, with 5 UTHs going seperatly. but im sure the 3 MVBs and 3 CHE is causing the most.

When I was into the bearded dragons, my electric bill was crazy high. I think it went down over $100 a month after I sold my collection. 3 75 gallon aquariums all being kept at over 100 degrees.

Herps will cost you some money, no dooubt about it!

Racks shouldn't cost much to heat I don't think. I use 8 watt heat tape and it works fine. I wouldn't think that low wattage would affect it. I think what's killing me is heating the building.

I can tell when I add a new 4 bin rack my bill goes up a couple bucks the next month.

What wattage heat tape do you use? I don't know how much mine cost but I really think the majority of my bill is heating the room. I could be wrong though.
