    What should I get next?

My 21st birthday is coming up here at the end of the month, thinking of getting myself a herp that I have never had before. Walked around and talked to multiple people about what I was interested in at the show today, I can't really choose what I want. I'd take everything if I could. So. Help me out here, i've always kept snakes.

What should I get for my first non snake herp? here is what i likeee.

If you have never had a monitor before, I definitely would not get a Nile monitor. They are not as horrifically bad as most people make them out to be, but definitely not for beginners.

I do really like the cresties, they are real nice. I know quite a few breeders at our show, too.

As for the monitor, i've been around them and handled them before. Just never owned one personally, but I guess i'll have to learn sometime. But I have been doing a lot of research on each of the listed animals

I voted for the Red Eye Tree Frog, because I myself have always wanted one.

Definitely the Crestie.. They are so easy to care for, available in SO many different colors, and a joy to handle.

Re: What should I get next?

Had to vote for the crestie out of those choices - they're cuteness and comedy incarnate, and they're inquisitive little creatures who are always paying rapt, excited attention to what's going on around them. As others have said, they come in all kinds of colors & patterns, and they're easy to take care of, inexpensive to keep, and just all around great IMO.

Re: What should I get next?

Thanks Guys! I think it's going to be between the Cresties and a pacman frog, I already have tanks and everything for either or. So all I need is the animal itself when our next show comes around!

    Such a hard choice, lol
