    Tank Decorations.

    Hello to all!

In my last thread i said I was getting a new 30 gallon tank for my BP. My dad owns a buisness cutting down trees for a living. I was gunna go cut some wood from some of the logs he brings home for my bp to help with shed or just for him to play around on. I was wondering on how I can treat wood in order for it to be safe for a ball python. I saw baking it? Would that get rid of any bugs or anything living inside the branches and stuff???? I just wanna fill the tank so he doesnt get too stressed out and has a good home.

    Thanks

I would bake it in the oven at 250* for 2 hours. That should take care of anything that may be in it.

You can bake it in the oven at 250* for 15-20 minutes and that should kill anything on it.

I washed in in the tub to get all the dirt off and soak it in hot water for a half hour then bake it at 300 degrees for a half hour! That's what I did with my wood! It seemed to work out great!
