Tub size..
Ok Guys I have small problem and need your help. I about yo buy a rack and because of tide space in my apartment size matter... I gonna keep BP of course... My first gonna be around 1000g YB Female. Question is Should I use 41q bins or 32 gonna be enough for animals up to 1500/1600g?? I just wonder that 16 1/8" x23 3/4 gonna give me enough floor space vs 34 1/2" long X 16 1/2"
Thanks for all Your vote and opinion

Re: Tub size..
Depends if you want to upgrade or not and go from 32 quarts first to 41 quarts later.
I keep males and females up to 1500 grams in 32 quarts however now I often skip 32 quarts and put them in a 41 quarts when they reach about 600 grams.
Of course it all depends on the animal too.
Both can be done.

A 41qt rack doesn't take up all that much more space than a 32qt. I keep my females in 32qt until they reach 1000g-1500g. Then I move them to the 41qt.

yes You right is not "that much space" but in My case (very small room) this additional feet on length is making difference.. Is not that I cant fit 41qt at all but will be more convenient for me have 32qt. But because i'm a person who put animal comfort before my own this is why i put this post to make a sure that 32 will be enough.

I never had any locks on my racks and so far never had any escapee either.
As far as hide I provide one to each snake, some use it some don't, I prefer having one in the enclosure even if not needed than not having one and it being needed.

When I switched from a tank to tubs I found 34qt Sterilite tubs I didn't really have the room for a 41qt rack
