    How Long???

I got a question with regarding my female refused food for the first time last night and shes pretty big no ovulation though and she just shed the day before yesterday.. I guess my question is if anyone had females and go off feed before ovulation and how long was that period from rufusing food and ovulation???? all replies welcome thanks... in mind shes been hammering small rats for this time aggressivly and the rats not that big at all and when she eats it shes huge looks like she swallowed a large rat and their a little biger then rat pups..

It varies from snake to snake. I have had some snakes that dont eat for months before laying and others that eat right up to ovulation and have even heard of some eating right up to lay. Hard to say. Just keep pairing.

    Re: How Long???

It varies I have female refusing food soon as being paired or even before being paired so no answer there.

As far as a timeline you can really establish one, once you witness the ovulation

    Ovulation
10-14 days after ovulation you have a pre-lay shed
27-30 days after pre-lay shed the female will lay her aggs.

Of course those are averages, I had females laying 40, 49 days after having their pre-lay shed.
