They are the same thing just different lines, so one would have to assume its either been done, or it will do what you expect it to. They are both het BlkEL.

    Re: Fires & Sulfurs

To the best of my knowledge it has not been done. We don't know that they are the same thing, because it has not been done. It is only assumed that they are the same, because the produce very similar homozygous forms.

One day something that we think is similar is not going to prove compatible, so don't be so quick to make assumptions (this is my opinion only).

Tim, you beat me to it! .... totally agree, its good NEVER to assume anything with genetics. However I can't believe someone hasn't done this cross as everyone seems so quick to jump to the conclusion they are the same mutation ... hence my original post.

John, I THINK I remember seeing posts that Eric (I can't remember his last name) in CA crossed them but I'm not 100% sure. Dave (EmberBall) would know for sure...

There was something on this a while ago and I believe Dave and Eric talked and came to the assumption that it was the same thing. If I'm not mistaken, they weren't planning an the pairing either.

I do know that the Original fire line was crossed with NERD's Dominant Hypo line and produced a Black Eyed Leucistic proving that at least those two lines are the same, however I haven't heard of anyone crossing a Fire with a Sulfer yet.
