It is what it is. I can't say I like to see snakes killed, but if it is a problem, they must take care of the problem. I would rather see a capture program, but I think they've tried that and it didn't work very well.

I doubt i would ever go hunting for the snakes, I would however get the permit and license and stuff and possibly go try and find smaller (less than 5 footers) to possibly take one home and get a "free" burm. I know it make not be the greatest thing, but i know i could at least give it a good life and its better than someone going out and chopping its head off to make their wife a purse

If you did get the license and captured it and took it live, you'd be breaking the law. It clearly states "They may not bring reptiles out alive and must report all they kill to the FWC within 36 hours."

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Might as well save yourself the money for the permit, since you'd be breaking the law anyways, might as well just go find yourself one (before they start killing them!)

Imagine the vet cost too! I'm sure these 5-10 ft burms are full of parasites, and any number of other bad things. I also wouldn't want to tame a 10 ft wild Burm. Not real high on my bucket list.
