Display snake
So I have been looking into getting a display animal and it is a GTP. I have been doing tons of reading and more reading. I want to get one this summer when its warm outside. I see people housing the babies inside a small 6qt tub. I see juvies and adults housed inside arboreal cages.
Some people handle them frequently and alot dont. I dont want to handle it alot. Only when cleaning and after it is over a year old. I have always loved these snakes since I was little, and now I can own one.
This part of the forum isnt very busy but I hope we can get a good thread going here with lots of opinions and info.
When they are young and in a tub how are people heating the enclosure?? Also what is the easiest display cage to keep them in? I mean ease of cleaning, able to keep temps and humdity up, plus great viewing??

Re: Display snake
I see some people use vivariums but I am interested in a arboreal cage like the pvc ones with the plexi front door. I think the pvc arboreal cages would be excellent as they are cheap, allow easy use of a RHP, clean easy and provide great front viewing.
I dont know at what size the snake should be for a arboreal cage and what size cage to get. This the site I was looking at for a cage.

The cages are cheap but I dont know what size could house a adult, or if I can start one in a small cage from that site. Please help me out

Re: Display snake
What do you think of those cages I linked too?
It would be great if I could find a good detail pic or video of setting up a cage for a gtp.
I am still looking for other cages for a gtp. A tank would be a nightmare for humidity and temps. I dont know how to set up a RHP either
