With everything else in life, I'm pretty patient, but for some reason, with snakes I am like a five year old in a car "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" I've been keeping an eye on my normal female, Akina. Her follicles are as large as golf balls. She's locking every single time I put a male in with her. I got a picture of her wrapped around the water bowl. But she is not building at all. She is still the same size. And she spends most of her time on the warm side (though this may be due to the room temperature being lower during the cooler months, but I don't have a heater to put in the room.) She took a small rat last night. Last weigh in was a while ago but she was around 1800-1900g. Knowing my luck I won't get an ovulation until spring.
