    fire related question

Ok as some have read I gotten antoher rescued bp a couple months ago. I took it and another bp to the cambridge show were I was taught how to probe the snakes ( and found out the 2 I took were both females) while talknig ot the guys abotu theone I pointed out those light bloctchs in the tan areas and the fact it got the yellow spot on the face(on each side of the jaw) the guys looked at her and the one guy commented that she may be a fire. so I was wonder if there are any tell tail traits on a ball python that could point to it beign a fire or not. ( if she is I think I got a heck of a free snake lol) if not no biggie to me. Either way she not on the to breed plan for the next year or 2. I under stand ressecive and co dom genes and looking at the info iseen I know a fire breed to a fire makes a black eye lucy. but I was wondering on some morphs like fires, ecchi and a few other s I hear but can find their listing of the gene type. if ther are common traits in the snake to look for when looking to ID a fire ecchi and such ??

I am not Re qting the snakes as well as the pastel I received on saturday ( traded the leustic rat and the kenya sand boa for an 07 proven pastel. ) so I gown to 18 snakes but looking at 3 possible clutchs planned ( maybe)..

    Re: fire related question

I dont have a fire so I cant say much, but I know they are supouse to have a spot/mark in their heads. Look through other fire pictures, you can probably see it. I see it.

    Re: fire related question

lol then I will be s.o.l. al my life since the fires all apear to look like pastel too me. I know the head does havea lighter look to it than a normal and I got another one with a really light head. I also have pastel if I compare the pictures( mental image right now since i need to take some pics of him.) that in my book all look the same. I do know that the snake in question is lighter than most the normal snake ( that are older and such.)

I need to get better with this morph ID ing part lol.. I know visible stuff like pied the albinos ( even if i not seen a cameral yet in person) young anacthics and I such it the stuff lik fire, ecchis, ( i may be able to id an tiger ball) but i need to look at the almost normal looking morphs so I can learn to pick out the morph. I only can tell a pastel by comapiring it to a normal ( it an older pastel)..

head shor of the snake that a possible fire

    and a body shot

    Re: fire related question

That seems pretty dark for a fire. Most likely a normal.
