You need a hot spot a minimum of 90 degrees I keep my hot spot 93, and then a gradient out to 80.He seems to feel cold because he is.

The white was not poop, it was a urate.

You should have set up before getting him! Keep him warm by putting a heater in the room or a light on him! Get the tank warm fast!

i know what temps i need what i am saying is i think my uth is faulty cause it has been on some time and what should be the "hot spot" is 76 and the cool spot is at 80 i assume when i get a proper uth the cool spot will be where i want it the heat pad he recommended me was a exo terra heat wave small and in the 10 gallon it is plenty big enough i think i also have a heat lamp with a exo terra 50w infared heat bulb I'm also semi worried he has not gone in either of his hides hes chilling on top of the cool hide with part of his body on the water bowl but not in it and i am more the sure the humidity is good I'm using cypress mulch

the exo terra heatwave is a rainforest if that matters

He won't use his hides because he is cold so he stays out under the lamp for warmth! The uth should get alot hotter! It should go past 100 degrees! Are you using a thermostat or dimmer?

If you can fill a water bottle with hot water, put it in a position that is going to provide him with some warmth in the mean time.

If you think some of your equipment is faulty, time to get a new one. Snakes are curious animals. Its not weird if he doesn't want to be in his hide, especially if hes new. They are just as curious as any other creature. As long as you get your temps right, he will go as he pleases.

When you were talking about yawing several times back to back. Makes sure hes not weezing or having any discharge out of his mouth. If you can, open his mouth and see if you have a buildup of bubbles. If you have that, your snake could have an RI infection where you would need to take him to a dr.

the breeder was there and checked him out hes perfectly healthy besides the fact that i cant get the temps right because my uth isn't providing enough heat hes going to have to deal with being 80 till the morning

also just remembered i have a clamp reading lamp that gets hot to the touch so im going to run that in the cage until i can take th uth back tomorrow too
