    Egg tub big enough?

So I bought this incubator from Big Apple Pet Supply:

    http://www.bigappleherp.com/Accu-Tem...tile-Incubator

But when it got delivered and I opened it and I was playin around with it, I noticed that it does not fit the 6 qt sterilite tubs.... This was highly disappointing and so ever since I've been carrying a tape measure and measuring any plastic tupperware I come across.

So I finally came across some that fit, granted they were slightly shorter than I'd wished.

    The inside is 8" x 5.5" where as a sterilite tub is 11" x 5.5"

Would these smaller tubs be big enough for an average sized ball python clutch?

    Thanks!

A lot of people use deli cups like the ones used at reptile shows and split the clutch if it is too large. I think they would be perfect for you. You can order them through reptile supply sites and they even come with airholes already in them. Just use electrical tape to cover holes for desired humidity.

You ca use any size for incubating eggs. But you need to catch the eggs as they lay before they stick so you can separate them into smaller containers to fit in the incubator.

Though some people separate stuck eggs with no problems which i dont recommend unless it HAS to be done.

If its going to be a problem talk to the company about a refund and or putting it up fro sale and build a IGLOO incubator

This to me is the biggest downfall with smaller incubators. You have to basically hover over the snake so the eggs don't get stuck, or they won't fit in the bator.

that looks like it will hold 2 clutchs worth of eggs if you can find a small either deli cups or even those foodlion( or other brand) salad containers( tater, pasta, mac) or even the one the pre packed sandwich meattype come in too.
