    93.7*, is that ok

Hey everyone, i did a little testing on my flexwatt today and noticed a little difference in temps. i took an empty 6qt tub not being used, taped the probe from the acurite on the hot side inside the tub and left it for an hour on each shelf, i'm only using 3 shelves out of 6 from my rack. now the first shelf measures on the hot side between 92.1* to 92.3* and the second shelf measures on the hot side between 93.5* to 93.7*. i keep the ranco t-stat at 96*,i have not measured the 3rd shelf yet but i will tomorrow. i have each one wired separately but why the difference? should i just tune it down 1* or just keep it the way it is?. Thanx

Normally you will have difference in temps when you have things stacked like on racks. I get different temps with my tubs all being stacked, so I get anywhere from 88F to even 95F depending on the time of day. You should be fine though, just make sure the temps don't go over what they are supposed to be.

Do you have the first two or one of the two you measured wired in a parallel? If so thats why the diff. Mine is the same way. Also depending on the shelf example: Top, middle and bottom there will be a diff as heat rises and cold air stays low. I have a temp varience between the different sections of parallels in my racks too usually not more than 2 degrees.

The shelves in the top get warmer, hot air raises. Is that the case?

Those temps are getting high up there, you have to play with it your self. Try one lower and see how it goes.

the temps that i wrote above are the max, but the top one is about 1* lower than the second shelf, interesting. they are wired separately so maybe that has something to do with it. i'm just going to lower the t-stat 1* and the temps will still be within their range. thanx
