    Tubs with lids?

I am just wondering if anyone keeps there balls in tubs with snap on lids instead of a tight fitting shelf. Does it work well for you? Advantages/disadvantages?

    Thanks a bunch!!!

    Re: Tubs with lids?

I did before I bought a 4 tub rack. The only disadvantages is that loose tubs will take up more space and that you have to remove the lid everytime you need to open the tub. Also you have to make sure the lid is secured.

Other than that, a tub is a tub.

Some do and some don't. When you don't have have that many tub it's not that big of a deal. When you have a lot of tubs to deal with(clean & feed), it takes up a lot more time to remove all those lids. I have only a couple snake and I have the lids on. But I may switch.

I think it's easier to just pull it out and the top is already open and u can do w/e u want. Easier to feed, change stuff out, etc...

Lids... I like how they look and the building of the rack doesn't have to be as difficult.. I am challenged when it comes to building.

I don't mind taking out a tub and opening the lid to clean/feed.

    Re: Tubs with lids?

I say get your self a small rack, and fill the rest of the tubs with new BPs!

Before I bought my RBI 4 tub rack, I had 3 tubs next to each other and a spider in another tub in another place in the apartment in quarantine. When she was done with quarantine, she filled up the last spot in the rack.

I use tubs with lids. No different than opening a screen top...

any reason for me to worry that the snake can get the lid open? I have small children and a wife that doesent exactly "like" my hobby lol.
