males will start getting interested in females when they get around 500 grams. Females should be breed no smaller than 1200 grams 1500-1600 is optimal. You can start pairing your males with females in October till when ever the female starts to ovulate. You will notice the ovulation when she has a huge bulge in her mid section. Some drop temps to 86 during the day and high 70s at night and some dont change temps at all they let the winter cold drop the ambient temps in the cages. I personally dont drop temps since the snake room drops from 82-77 depending on the weather. Ive noticed during storm front the males tend to go crazy looking for mates and is a very good idea to pair them during this time. The last snow storm out of 3 pairings 2 had locked up. Theres a ton of different ways to do this and you should really take your time and do the research before you attempt to breed and get in over your head. There are a ton of things that can go wrong during breeding season and the last thing you want is a prego female that has a r.i. This is what has worked for me in the past but everyone has there own way of doing things. Hope this helps. Its not written in stone, so my way is not the only way to do it. Try and see what works best for you and good luck in the future is you deiced to breed.
