blue tongue skink issues
i know this is the wrong forum.. couldnt find the skink forum lol
but heres the issue i have had earley for about a month now.. hes a feisty one with a big tude on him... but now during his shed.. he is very timid and he hasnt eaten in about 3 days maybe 4... he wont even eat his apple sauce which he loves.. hes a milky color all on his belly
no the temp
no the humidity
these are not the issue here since nothing has changed sides the humidity has gone up since he is in shed
is it norm for him to not eat while he is shedding?

Im not familiar with skinks, but that seems to be a vet visit problem. You should schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

How's the skink doing now? It's possible it's just food that got stuck. Caused a little irritation. I would watch him closely and see how he's doing.
Good Luck!

Clean it aggressively with betadine. You can get it at any drug store.
Food and debris often get mashed up in the teeth, which are NOT cartiledge, causing gum irritation. You need to get all the cheesy stuff, both hard and soft, out of the gumline and he should then be fine.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

They do break easily and will regrow naturally. Squirt some betadine up there just to help keep it clean. Even soft food can cause problems if it gets packed in between teeth or in a hole where a tooth is missing. It shouldn't be a big deal if you stay on top of it.

skink is not eating.. or not eating very much. he loves apple sauce and when i put it in there he used to eat all of it within a day.. now it just looks like he goes over and eats a bite or 2 and leaves it till its dry and nasty.. im getting the mouth stuff today and a baby tooth brush just incase he trys to bite it he wont break anymore teeth...
is his eating because of his mouth being the way it is?
also getting chicken baby food... << goes crazy over this
