Just gave myself a heart attack!
I just walked by the tub of one of my dinker males, and he's belly up, head at a weird angle and I tap the tub and nothing. My heart drops, this is an adult male, and I think - damn - Spenser's died!!!! But there's no stench, so I'm thinking it had to have happened some time today.
I open his tub and go to pick him up and he flips over, looks at me like "do you MIND????? I'm napping here!" He's in deep blue, and I've never seen him lay like that, ever. I held him a bit, just to convince myself he wasn't too lethargic and was going to die on me. He's fine, he just jump started my heart this evening is all! LOL
Here's the naughty boy:

thats funny this happened to me with my pastel male a couple of days ago, but I didn't post about it lol
I was looking in his hide to see how he was to see if he finished his shed, and he had his head at a weird angle, and looked looked fatigued. But as soon as he saw me he moved his head under his body so I knew he was alive. But i was scared cuz hes my only morph and I was like what are the odds?!?!

Oh - I tapped and wiggled the tub a little and his body just rocked in place. It wasn't until I actually opened the tub that he decided to move. I was like "great - I've never had one die on me (well, I've lost two normal hatchlings I've produced that never ate and fought assist feeds, but none that matured into juvie and adults). And he's been in the collection for a few years now, and he's not been behaving like he's sick or has had an RI (no rubbing the face or "sliming" his enclosure, or holding his head up to breath), so I was just baffled what could have killed him (he also wasn't on the heat, so I knew he hadn't been burned). Must have just been deep in sleep - wonder what he was dreaming about! LOL

Re: Just gave myself a heart attack!
Not any worse than me looking in a tub and seeing a piece of curled paper thinking it was my snake belly up and dead. I franticly tapped on the tub, then yanked it open. My snake was in her hide and I was looking at a piece of curled paper. Time to have my glasses changed up!!

Its funny how deeply they can sleep sometimes. My BP has sent me into a similar panic lol.
Glad he's okay!

don't feel bad, I got one that likes to flip her warter bowl over the best she can and dump the water out. ( of course she does it again today whe nI got no shavings on hand and can't get ot the pet place to pick more up till tuesday ( since all my money in the bank and the debit card not working right( i think I nailed with a emp( weak one) from overloading the transformer in an old tv.( dang think had about 2 pounds of moisture related rust on it from sittin in the shed most the winter cause i lacked he room to set it up ( now no tv lol) I had the wallet sitting on the stand next to it and had just plugged it in. I jumpe almost 4 ft. Th wallet did move like a ft ( off the stand not sure if it was me jumping and bumping the stand or the em field. but the card not worked right since. lucky no diskettes or computer in that room ( far side of the trailer) but a bright blue flash and a boom was enough to startle me and send all of moms cats out of the room for a few.

Re: Just gave myself a heart attack!
Wow, it must be a ball conspiracy... My little female did the same thing to me the other evening. I looked into her enclosure and she was half out of her hide. Her head was in a very weird position and her mouth was open. I opened the door thinking she had broken her neck somehow or was showing some strange neurological distress. She straightened herself out, came all the way out of the hide and looked me right in the face with a, "Oh hi, what's up?" expression. I had nearly fainted when I first saw her. Maybe they're doing experiments to see if humans really have emotions since there's been rumors in the grapevine....
