Regurge?
Hey so I randomly have a problem with my pastel (pickest feeder of the bunch). First off he is around 140-150 grams (I think, don't remember at the moment weighed him the other day though, haha) And he is the last of the 4 to be in a 16 qt tub. Just haven't drill holes in it yet. No access to a power drill but I will this weekend. Sooooo here's the deal:
Fed everyone like normal. I uped the size on my pastel and spider b/c I think they need it and could take it down. Spider go it down fine, but the pastel not so much. First he had a bad strike (hit the front leg) and it went all down hill from here. Well I normally watch my guys/gals eat cuz I think it's freaking cool and never get bored of it, and notice my pastel starts to eat it but then after a while basically spits it back out and goes off to his hide........i was like wtf. I heard if the prey is to large they won't eat it. But my spider is like 5 grams smaller and she got a bigger 1 down fine. Tried to reheat it and no strike of anything. So I got a smaller mouse b/c he was in the prowl mode. He looked interested and all and licked it alot but no didn't strike. Left it in there with him and nothing all night.
It's weird cuz my spider did this one time but I just reheated it and she was fine, just needed a better direction to swallow it from, cuz he came in from the shoulder at an angle. I'm not really worried but I find it frustrating.

Re: Regurge?
That's not a regurge, that's a refusal.
He may be a more private snake that doesn't do well with an audience. Wait a week and offer him prey then and DON'T watch.
Also, my 300 grammers are still in six quarts. He may be one that will need to stay in a smaller tub longer. And you can use a $5 solder wand to make your holes, rather than a power drill.

Haha thanks. Never classified that as a refusal but it's all good. He has been a power eater like the rest of them. I know he'll come around next week....
I don't normally watch him I guess that is what it was. Funniest part is I swear my spider will only swallow the mouse if I watch her. Prob just me but I find it funny.

I think all ball's are a little different. Most of mine zero in on the head and go for it but occasionally you'll have one sorta wander around the rat looking for it's head. I've even had them eat em rear first. Kinda funny watching a rat head poking out of a snakes mouth!
singingtothesnakes 1.1 Normal kids. Well for the most part anyway.

It would have to have been swallowed and then came back up to be a regurge.
It happens from time to time even with live feedings.
Thankfully not too often
