    Food question

I was wondering how often I should be feeding my snake. She is 9 month old now and I have been feeding her every 7-9 days. One Med Mouse which is 10-15% of her body weight.
    Thanks

I feed my 7 month old male a small rat every 7 days! He weighs 576 grams! Your female sounds a little underweight! She should be eating at least a rat pup or adult mouse! It may look big but you would be surprised what they can eat! How much does she weigh?

    Re: Food question

Your snake is well capable to eat an adult mouse every 7 days.

Seems like you have been underfeeding your BP a bit, good news it can be fixed

Start feeding bigger preys every 5 to 7 days instead of every 7 to 9 days

    Re: Food question

A 9 month old should definitely be eating more than one mouse a week. 2 mice or a weaned rat would be better.

Are you sure you are feeding 10-15% of the snakes body weight? How much does she weight now?

    Re: Food question

I meant to say that I am feeding her a Med Adult Mouse every 7-9 days. I will weigh her tonight or tomorrow to see how much she actually weights, I have not put her on a scale in a while. I will check and let you guys know, but thanks for the input for now.

    Re: Food question

a medium adult mouse is too small, you can bump up the size to a weaned rat and feed every 7 days.
