    could it be possible?????

i poted a few weeks ago that my snake made his grand escape through the smallest of holes. (he obviously pushed the screen open to make the hole big enough for him). but anyways... since then he has just been going around his cage tearing everything up. pulling his thermometer out of his hot side hide. moving his hides all over the place.... you get the idea. i have 2 questions. how do i tell if i have a healthy happy snake? and the second question is since he knows he has gotten out before, do you think he is just trying to get out again because he knows he can get out????? the hole he got out of is now repaired and there is literally no way he can get out. but to me it seems that in his little tiny snake brain he is saying.... "hmmm i have gotten out here before i might as well try again." i do really want to know about both of my questions. any help would be much appreciated

I would check your temps, humidity, etc.

If your snake is trying to get out, he is probably trying to regulate his body temperature/humidity that you are not providing to him.

A happy BP is one that you won't see very often. They are reclusive and enjoy solitary time in a hide. That is why most recommend 2 hides, a warm side and cool side. That way, the snake doesn't have to choose security over temperature.

Sounds to me like your snake is stressed out about something, so just check your temps/humidity, etc. Is there constant noise where he is housed? Are the lights on 24/7? Are the hides too big for him? BP's like small tight hides that keep them snug.

Many things to consider here. But I doubt he is going through the thought process "hmm, I got out before, let me try again!".

    Good luck!

Your description of your snake sounds like he is probably stressed. Please make sure your husbandry is up to par. Double check your temps and humidity using a digital thermometer/hygrometer, and make sure your snake has at least 2 snug fitting hides.
