9 Foot Snake Under House In Fla.
I thought some of you might find this interesting. The first is the link to a story that was broadcast on the news yesterday in Florida about a snake living under a house. The second link is to a thread on another forum in which some of our fellow herpers in the area are stepping in to help out. I hope all turns out well...

It just me, or does a "9 foot python" having 2 babies seem odd to anyone else? You know, considering being a python (if that is what it really is), it would have to lay and maternally incubate eggs over the course of a couple months. I'm thinking those other snakes were probably not the same thing if they were even there. Likely some native colubrid like black racers.

Yeah. I definitely call shenanigans on some of the details.

Quote: “I grabbed it by this hook and just tossed him over there. But only half of it went over the fence so I grabbed its tail and tossed it over,” said neighbor Frank Thornton.
Thornton says the snake was on a tree a couple of weeks ago. He says he thought by throwing it over the fence it would swim away in a roadside canal.
“I didn't think he'd go up under nobody's house. And I didn't know it was pregnant. I'm shocked about that,” Thornton said.: Quote
I think it was this guy.

Re: 9 Foot Snake Under House In Fla.
I just checked the thread to see if there were any updates. The people who were volunteering to help said the home owner never answered or returned any calls. It almost makes you wonder if they belong to the neighbor and the whole thing was staged for attention. I kind of wonder if that guy was telling a lie when he said...
“We tried to shoot some bottle rockets to scare it back out, to get someone out here to trap it, but no one is willing to come out without payment and we can't afford it,” said homeowner Alan McGraw.
I'm thinking, " you can't afford it? What about that fat roll of 20's that Senator Nelson slipped in your pocket?"...
