    Herpstat II glitch?

    Hey guys,,
I just emailed Dion about this herpstat problem, but I thought I would post this here too just in case anyone else has ever experienced this before and maybe had some tips.

So we have a Herpstat II which is attached to an incubator running 200 watts on one output (10 feet total of 11 inch heat tape).
When I try hooking it up to output 1, the alarm continuously goes off. Previously the high and low alarm was set for 1.5 degrees and I had disabled it, but now it just continues to go off.
When I try to hook it up to output 2, the temperature is set to 89.0, and when I check the high/lows in the morning, for the past 2 days it has dropped down to 74 degrees, with no night drop or anything like that set up. It seems to just drop to this temperature at some point, and then eventually go back up.
By the way, this is just a dry run, no eggs in the bator yet, but hopefully this gets settled before that comes

I've never had any problems with this with our other herpstats, and this one hasn't done anything like this before.

    Appreciate the feedback

I have 2 herpstat II and I had the same problem with one of them and I found out they changed the night drop feature on the new one it has a disable feature. My older one you just set the night drop to off but the newer one I had to set to disable when I put it on off it turns off at night.

    Re: Herpstat II glitch?

Yes, That was a added feature. The newer Herpstat II's, ND's, and Pro's were updated with it and it was in the new manuals too. But I have had a couple of people confuse those two settings (Disable / Power OFF) and have those results. Many of our customers wanted a higher amount of night drop capability for certain projects and we when there is enough demand and if its possible I try to add the code to make it happen. Thats why the Herpstat line kind of just gets better with age because we listen to y'all want.

Sometimes more options means more confusion though.
