i need to know if this could be a prob!!!
Today i was feeding my normal female ever since i have gotten her to eat she just slams the mice.. she never misses... i feed her F/T .. and well today she just could NOT! get the mouse!.. i was not moving it at all.. i didn't do anything diff from what i normally do.. it was like she could smell it but she could not see it.. cuzz she was off by a LOT!!!! she just couldn't get it.. she missed at least 5 times... the only reason she finally got it was cuzz i put it right to her mouth to the point where she was touching it...
should i be worried????

May have been the wrong temperature.
I know this is a problem with my ball, cause he'll smell the mouse on the tongs, then move past it to my hand. I know it confuses him, but I keep moving the mouse back in front of his face and eventually he gets the idea.

Yea, I wouldn't be worried about the snake missing, as long as she seems normal otherwise. All mine will occasionally miss and I believe that zantedeschia is right on with temps being the issue!

ya its prolly just the temp. u didnt really say how long u had the snake, ur pics shows a normal and some pastels, but if its got some spider genes in it maybe that is somehow related too. but im betting on the temp

Also remember YOU are typically warmer than the mouse. So when sensing the heat.....they are "seeing" you.

Sometimes when the rodent is too cold the snake will smell it but often miss when striking because they can't really detect it as well. I wouldn't worry, my snakes sometimes do this too, and not every snake gets a perfect strike at what's in front of them.

could be the wrong temps u can hit it with a blow dryer... ... a nice warm rat always helps prevent this. also she/he could be going into shed.
