Acceptable larger prey items?

I don't own a giant python, and I don't know anyone who does. But I have a question regarding food. I know that most people choose to jump from rats to rabbits and then, depending on the snake, it could go all the way up to pigs. But is there anything that is acceptable to feed them during that "middle" period other than rabbits?

But where in the world would you get a mass quantity of guinea pigs? Most people don't breed them for feeders do they?

I've heard somewhere that guinea pigs contain too much fat to be the main diet.

You can get rabbit kits that are the size of a small rat all the way up to adult size rabbits.
Burms tend to get addicted to them so we stay away from feeding our burms guinea pigs-they love them!!!!

You can pretty much feed a burm whatever you want to feed them. I will make a short list of all of the things that I have seen them eat.

mice
rats
degus
guinea pigs
rabbits
gerbils
hamsters
chickens
ducks
geese
pigs
goats

My guess is that as long as the animal is of appropriate size it is fair game.
