    Train noise

Would a BP(or any snake) get easily stressed if I where to rent a place near those old school elevated train tracks?
    CTA- Chicago...

The prices are cheaper near trains.

Trains pass like every 10 minutes.

Snakes can't hear, but can simulate hearing through feeling vibrations. So if it rattles your whole house then it may be possible. Never heard anyone have issues with this before.

I would worry that it would add strees to their lives. They won't hear the trains, but I'm sure they'll feel the vibrations.

    Good Luck!

    Re: Train noise

there are ways to isolate them from vibrations if they do wind up showing signs of stress, but I wouldn't worry much about it. If it doesn't get to you, go for it.

    Re: Train noise

If anything, they would just get used to the vibrations over time. And honestly, the CTA tracks don't really make the buildings around it shake, its just like a light background rumble.

I used to live RIGHT by the CTA tracks and it never bothered my snakes.

I live very close to train tracks, so close that they rattle my windows. My snakes aren't stressed.
