    Question Trade value question

Ok so I'm looking at a trade for some snakes. On my side I have a 79 Vette. Nice car, I got a good deal on it a couple years ago and did some work etc. I would value it (depending on time of year) at around $9000 - $13000. Just a base model but it's clean and has a hot motor. (300 hp) so came across an ad on KS for someone wanting to trade some snakes for a car, well after emailing and talking on the phone were down to a deal of.

    09's

    1.0 Pastel Clown
    0.1 Reduced pattern Clown
    1.1 Piebald
    0.1 Het. Piebald
    1.0 Pastel Ghost

    08's
    1.0 Pastel Mojave
    0.1 Mojave

the 08's were added in after he pulled out an 09 Pewter Bee female which kinda bummed me out but, I just wanted to get some peoples thoughts on what they think of the values of these current and in the next year or so.

    Re: Trade value question

I only see about 6-7 grand worth of snakes in that deal granted they are all hatching size. If they are bigger all bets are off cause just those 2 clowns and pieds are about 5 grand. If your fine with trading that nice car for these snakes, cool, but personally to me it seems as if it doesn't really equal a nice older Vette. Add another pair of BEL's or Killer bees, then it would be a good trade.

Why not sell the car for cash and shop around for animals that you realy want.
i think in the long run you would do much better.

    Re: Trade value question

Yeah, I came across the add looking at clowns well I was looking at pastel het clowns. So those are ones I'm interested in. I also have been wanting pieds. But was also planning on hets for them just because of the costs for both. And in the ad it had listed the clowns pieds pastel ghost a male butter and a male cinnamon and the pewter bee. It sounded good but I have a butter and now the pewter bee is out...
If I were to wait untill spring and just sell the car, I would get the shopping bug and start looking at motorcycles.

Well would you rather have some high end morphs or motorcycles?

I say sell the car and buy what you want... Whether is be spent on Balls.. Motorcycles... or put in your savings. As long as it's what you want.

I agree with these numbers, if these were all 08's and ready to breed I would call it a better deal though. All nice snakes and good future projects with them. Especially if you don't already own similar morphs and this will diversify your collection I would say go for it.

As others have said, sell the car then do whatever you want.

    Re: Trade value question

This is comming from a car lover but I would say keep the car. OR if you want rid of the car I would sell it when its worth the 13k and then buy the snakes you want. This way you can hand pick the snakes and not end up with snakes you dont want. Also hit up some of the local breeders and expos so you know where the snakes are comming from and you have questions you can always hit them up for awnsers as well as mabey get better prices. (I always find smokin deals at expos)
