Snake Farts???

Do Ball Pythons get gas? and do they fart?

I ask because the last time my snake fed I could of swore he ripped out a nasty sounding snake toot, I mean I could of swore that snake farted? Is this even possible? Someone please tell me, its driving me nuts!
