Today I see what looks like a perfect one piece shed from Charade. He's the little one I bought with the really bad retained head shed and eyecaps.
So I picked him up to tell him what a good boy he was to find that he had shed everywhere, execpt the top of his head! There was even a rectangular shaped tab attached to the back of his head. Looked like I could grab it and peel the head piece off! (don't worry, I didn't).
Soaked him 5 minutes and most of it came off easily, the eyecaps came right off (mineral oil, heh). The stuff on the very tip of his snout was being really difficult, so I soaked him a few minutes more and worked it off. I know I'm not supposed to but I slipped off the shed back to front cause the loose skin was at the back. He was not happy about any of this.
Then I had more Feeding Fun. Bought 4 live large hoppers/very small mice today. Gave one each to the corns. Dropped the other 2 in Enigmas cage. He ignored both of them. Now he's refusing live food! Eventually gave one of those to Charade (tried the flicking the mouse's head thing to stun them - it works). The other one actually jumped out of Enigma's aquarium while the lid was off - I can see why they call them hoppers. Mice-at-large are not a problem for me, I just grabbed one of my cats. Watching a cat zero in on a mouse is pretty amazing in itself.
Much later in the day, I gave in and grabbed the remaining mouse, offered it to Enigma dangling it in front of him. He grabbed it, but then immediately flung it aside. I think it bit him! I caught it again but it bit me! Annoying little erm..grr.$#%$#@ word I'm not allowed to say on here. Paradox didn't want it, guess he was full from his rat, so I froze it.
Anyhow I've grown increasingly dissatisfied with Engima's setup, I think I'll go out and buy him a tub.
