shoule i be worried?

ook so my normal bp has never had a full shed for me.. and i know it was due to low humidity.. until now.. i got the humidity up to 55%-60% which isn't bad at all wit a screen top on the cage lol.. and for some reason she is still is having incomplete sheds... and i kow the other things that can cause that are bad.. soo what do you all think?

Well there are several threads that talk about how to boost humidity. I typically will boost to 70 or 80% when they turn blue. Couple things you can do...

make a humid hide with moss
foil off part of the top of the screen
put a damp towel over the other side
spray down the tank 3-4 times daily
make sure your heat and cool sides are right on
give em a soak

As mentioned, a little reading goes a long way. However, I used to have the exact same issue. What fixed it was a combination of foiling the top of my mesh top and actually spraying the snake a few times during the cycle. You NEED it up to 70 during the shed cycle. Anything less is asking for issues.

cover up ur screen with aluminum foil or something. a lot of threads talk about this. and dont use lights as ur main source of heat cuz it will kill ur humidity.

what i did to raise mines to 80% was to put the water bowl over the heat source but i have a rack. might want to try it,

You can also soak the snake in warm water for a half hour in a plastic container when it is blue and dull! The water should only be half of the height of the snake!

you do not want to ever soak a snake when its blue. That blue dullness is actually a layer of oil and fluid building up and separating the new layer of skin from the old layer of skin. Soaking the snake will leech that fluid out and almost guarantee you a bad shed.

Soak a snake after it has started shedding and is obviously not going to be able to finish its shed without assistance.

This is vitally important if there is a circular piece of shed constricting the snake anywhere along its body (neck, midsection, tail) because the shed will tighten and can cut off circulation.

I have never had a bad shed ever! All mine always come off in one piece! I must be doing somerthing right!
