My bp went on a total hunger strike about a month or two ago and because she's never been the "greatest" eater since I got her last August, I was getting concerned she was losing weight. Anyways, I finally got her to eat about a week ago and was hopeful she was on her way "up"... until she regurgitated the rat.
I read through the husbandry and care threads on this site until I was sure it was the lowered (winter) temps in my house that were causing it, then went out and got heat lamps and extra pads to raise the temps, spagnum moss to raise humidity, etc. (I had her on paper before). She has now eaten 2 fuzzies in as many days, which I know isn't enough for her size, but we're working her back "up" slowly. I appreciate that people share their knowledge of snake keeping in here! You really helped me help Xanadu!
