    Ball shedding question? please help

Hi there I'm a new BP owner of about a year and hes very healthy. He was on the right path to shedding and his temperament was usual for the situation then when i checked on him one morning he had shed... but the skin was missing. My question is if it would be weird for him to have eaten his own shedded skin? I cleaned his cage and there was no sign of it anywhere.

He probably hasnt shed yet. They go through the blue/gray phase where they obviously look like they are in shed and then it appears to go away then return again right before they shed. So he's in the clearded up stage.

They only other thing I have noticed is sometimes it(the shed) sticks to the inside of their hide and you pick up the hide not realizing its stuck inside.

I'll bet its one of those two scenarios.
