Circle of life stuff ;-)
Hi,
Cora (my little 2006 girl ) laid her clutch of eggs today 33 days after her pre-lay shed.
This is the first snake I have bred who then went on to breed herself - kind of a hippy moment.
She locked up with her father (my normal male ) and my lesser male - the lesser was the last lock so fingers crossed.

She laid 5 eggs and one slug - but egg number one might also be infertile as I couldn't see any veins when I candled it earlier. The eggs weighed 439g and, after laying Cora only weighs 1033g.

The eggs are in the incubator and Cora and the tub have been cleaned and I may try her with an F/T mouse later.

That's what it's all about. So many people get blinded by possible $$$$ that they forget about why this is such a cool hobby.

Wow Derek! Congrats! If I read that correctly, this is a girl you hatched out yourself, and now she is all grown up and having her own babies! That's awesome! For some reason I thought your first breeding was within the past few years since I joined this site.
If I misinterpreted that, don't blame me... there's more than one way to interpret this:

Where's that out of context thread when you need it?

Thats the only reason i do this. I love having that bottomless stomach during incubation to see if i uncovered that new morph. Very exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time.
