Im pretty sure that you dont need to do checkups on bps right?

I do not personally take my ball pythons in for regular check-ups. They only go in for medical problems.

depending on your location, the closest thing to a reptile vet you'll find is an "exoctic animal" vet...and if they bill you the same way the exoctic vets at the University of Pennslyvania Vet branch do...prepare to sell your car to make the payments

    Re: Vet Visits?

My exotic vet does not charge me a lot for vet visits. I have had to take a few snakes to the vet before for various reasons. They usually only charge us a little extra than a cat or dog visit since it is considered an exotic. A usual visit is around $40 if you don't count medication costs and those are not terrible.

    Re: Vet Visits?

I took the three snakes that I bought from pet stores in to be checked. One of them had internal parasites. My corns I bought from a reputable breeder, so I didn't see any need to take them to a vet.
