i have one right beside my tank i think it helps put it in the air but after i got a good gauge spraying mist with a damp towel did the trick just as well. I good i think to have cause it help keep my temp up also

it'll be much easier to just cover the tank somehow(I'm assuming screen top)-- I like plexi, but some like just regular ol' tinfoil. I imagine most wouldn't want ambient humidity upwards of 80%.
