New old bp feeding

So I just got a new bp from a lady who couldn't take care of her anymore. She "thinks the python is 7 years old" and fed it 4 mice every one and a half months... now i'm not an expert, but does that sound right? she's a big girl, i'm sure she could eat rats, and only every month and a half? what? please help me out here, as I really like this snake!

A 7 year old female being fed 4 mice every one and a half months?? It must look like a broom handle...Try feeding a small or weaned rat and see if she takes it...hopefully she will...
