If I wanted to have a breeding group of cresties. Say 1.1 or 1.2. Could I house the together in a 20 Long stood on end? Or would I need to seperate the males from the females and only have them together when they are actually doing their thing?

A 20 long might be a bit small for 1.2. 1.1 might work, but you need to give breeders enough space so the male doesn't annoy the females too much.

You will need to separate the male after each breeding season so that the females can recouperate from laying--females need at least 6 months of rest after their last clutch is laid. They do retain sperm for about 3-6 months, so even after being separated they may lay for 6 more months, after which they will need at least another 6 months of rest. So you might actually be separating your male for a year or more at one time.
