    Don't Forget...

Just thought I would remind everybody, Jan 20 is fast approaching, so if you've been procrastinating on sending in letters or e-mails, now is the time to do it...

    Re: Don't Forget...

If you are on the east coast, now is basically the last day you can send without overnighting. I'm sending out my stack this morning and I'm going to make sure it gets there by Wed. If you haven't done yours yet or you think you don't have to because you only have BPs... well then you've sided with HSUS.

For everyone who sent their letters or is going to send them out today, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    Re: Don't Forget...

I have my letters ready to go out but im going to have to overnight them which makes me unhappy. I can't exactly go to the post office right now or tomorrow because I work. And i think they may be closed, in the US it IS a holiday today :/

the letters NEED to be sent to Tom? or can i just send them to their intended senators?

    Re: Don't Forget...

They NEED to be sent to Tom Wolfe. All the directions are on www.nosnakeban.com. I too forgot about the post office being closed today as it is a federal holiday. However I solved that problem with a quick trip to the UPS store which is open. If you can get over there before 6 pm you should be able to get your stack of letters in by Wednesday. IIRC the UPS store closes then. You're in MD so I can't see it being very much. It was $10 for me to get guaranteed 2 day delivery for Wednesday.

    Re: Don't Forget...

I'll be able to hand deliver letters to Senators after the 20th if anyone needs help.

The deadline of the 20th is a USARK deadline and not a Senate deadline.

I'm in DC about 3 days a week lobbying against S373 and HR2811 and I'll be more than happy to help anyone that can't make it by the 20th.

Mailing directly to Senators can sometimes take over a month because of all of the security screenings that letters to the US Congress must go through.

I'll also be in White Plains NY this coming weekend at the NY Metro Reptile Expo with a table (donated by the show promoter) getting letters signed that I'll hand deliver to DC next week.

If I can help, let me know.

    Thanks.
