ball python hiding in small hole in brick wall

hi so my ball python escaped and after a long search she is hiding in the trickiest spot to get her out of. She is hiding in a relatively large hole in the corner of my apartment within a brick column with a 2" opening with solid brick and a large drainage pipe blocking most access. I have been watching her every day for about a week waiting for her to get curious enough to come out but she hasnt venture out yet. I would be more proactive on getting her out (luring etc.) but my roomate really doesnt like snakes, and i havnt told him that shes hiding there mostly because hed freak out and be irrational even though she has never caused any harm and is extremely friendly. I dont want to harm her, psychologically or physical but i need her to get out. If anyone has any ideas I would love some help. I think my cage needs some major security upgrades once i get her out but It has been stressing me out because i want her to be happy and safe and not in the wall. luckily if she decides to leave while im not here she cant really go to far but this has been stressing me out non stop and I want it resolved.

could you remove a couple of bricks and get her out?
it would not be that hard to repair.
all you need is a mortar chisel and a hammer

If she has been in there for a week already she should be getting hungry. Luring her out may be your only option. If you feed live, put a feeder in a small box with some holes in it and place it a few inches away from the hole and see if she will come out looking for it. If you feed F/T, then warm up a prey and use a blow dryer to pre-scent the area, make the F/T do the zombie dance a few inches away also. I'm not sure what kind of area this column is in, but you will probably have better results doing this at night. Good Luck...

If you feed F/T you can try doing the zombie dance thing, just dont let go of the rat when she strikes and she should coil around it, exposing enough of her body for you to get a hold of. Then just pull her out while wiggling the rat thats in her coils to keep her focused on constricting, let her finish out the meal on the floor and then put her away.

I think both of the last 2 posters had great ideas....though the live might be an extra added bonus While I was reading your posts that is exactly what I was thinking. Lure with food....

I agree with the rest and after she out I fill he hole in so she/he can't make a return trip.

but this why I love tubs so much they semi visible and if used with the lid are really hard to get out of. PLus if you toss a towel over ( incase not allowed pets) just say it storage container for your meds or something. lol

Wow, this sounds really frustrating and stressful. It sounds like the snake is doing better than the owner, actually.

I agree with luring. My suggestion is that even if it does not eat live, use live in a plastic box with holes to lure it out. A few minutes or hours may be enough for the smell to become irresistible. It sounds like the trick is being there when this happens, and getting the snake to come out far enough.

Perhaps start with the box about a foot in front of the hole, and when the snake starts to come out, move the box several feet away, but against the wall. This may force it to come out and make it easier for you to grab it.

I wouldn't think this should take too long, a live mouse in a box will quickly become irritated and start making a lot of commotion by jumping and clawing and squeaking. Have a f/t ready to go if it doesn't usually eat live, though.
