    Hi,

We really need to see a good clear picture of it before we can do anything other than guess.

A slight color change sometimes means he's about to shed.

Other times, redish color can imply a burn from a too-hot heat source, or scale rot (an infection of the belly skin).

What type of substrate are you using and give the type of enclosure and temps along with the picture.

How are you defining red? Their stomachs turn pink when they are shedding. If it's truely red you may have a more serious problem.

But never take advice given on a forum as certainty. Have it checked out by a professional if it's anything other than off-pink.

    Hi,

If his tank stays at 83f and you have no heating then you need to find some way of boosting the warm end to about 90-93f - I'd probably use a UTH on a thermostat for preference.

If you have no UTH or heat rock what is the thermostat connected to?

    Lamps?

If you show us the top and layout of the enclosure we should be able to help you with ideas for raising and stabilising the humidity fairly easily.

But one question first - what are you using to measure the temps and humidity and where in the tank are you taking the readings?

The belly pic doesn't look nearly as bad as I feared it would - I think he may just be coming up to a shed but keep an eye on it and let us know if it changes to a darker colour or the scales begin to seem swollen or moist looking.

The second pic just looks like poop and pee to me so nothing to worry about there either.
