    Ghost pics...

I got some nice pictures of Joxer, the male ghost, and thought I'd share them... he's growing pretty well, never refuses a f/t mouse, and is quite the little charmer.

He loves to stare at his reflection - bit of an ego problem, Jox?

    Peek-a-boo!

LOL... I actually had just switched him from aspen to carefresh bedding (tried aspen as recommend, but allergies couldn't take it), and he was having fun burrowing in it. He thinks he's a sand boa!!

Btw, how does his weight/size look? He was rescued back in August (by somebody else) weighing only 285g, and he's now around 412. I'm feeding him one adult mouse every 7-10 days... he's a very shy eater, but hasn't refused one yet!

He's looking GREAT!! Nice job with the rescue.

At his size, you may want to even drop it to one mouse every 14 days. All of my adult males are only fed every 14 days. Since he was undersized, your regiment was dead on. But not that he's bounced back, might want to back off a bit.

If fed too much more often, they can really start to get "pudgy" and you don't want that.

Thanks! I can't take all of the credit, however, since his last owner did most of the early work... she got him in August & gave him to me in October, so he was already looking pretty healthy. I'll switch him to every 10-14 days now, which I've been trying to do with my other adult corns - but they always end up with leftovers from the BPs.
