    Next snake for breeding plans.

    I doubt my father will let me get a new snake during the next few reptile shows in my area, but if he does I wan't your opinions on what I should get.

    Currently I have:
    1.0 Pastel
    0.1 Cinnamon

    Currently on my mind:
    0.1 Pastel --> Super Pastels
    0.1 Spider --> Bumble Bees
    0.1 Cinnamon --> Double the pewters when both cinnys are up to size
    1.0 Spider --> Cinnamon Spiders?
    1.0 Cinnamon --> Super Cinnamons

    What do you guys think? Feel free to throw in other morphs that you think would go well with my cinny and pastel.

    If you are looking for a nice low end base morph, I would personally go with a female Fire or a Lesser/Butter, you will get some nice codoms out of them with your pastel. I don't think you want another male yet until you get some more females. Just wanted to give you some options that you didn't already list, but you could definitely go with any of the choices you already listed.

    I would also avoid getting another male at this point. Females take longer to get to size.

    Of the choices you listed I would get another cinnamon. I like pewters, but I like the stage beyond that even more; sterlings, silver bullets and silver streaks.

    A lesser or butter would be cool too and a mojave on that note.

    I've been meaning to ask about the sterlings, Silver bullets and silver streaks for a while. How are they made, and what are the chances of producing them? I haven't found any information on google believe it or not

    I haven't quite got down the exact genes of each one, but they are very similar. Super Pastel x Cinnamon/Black Pastel and Pastel x Super Cinnamon/Super Black Pastel.

    If you first pair up your pastel and cinnamon and produce a male pewter, you breed him back to your cinnamon and you would have a 12.5% chance of producing whichever name is associated with Pastel x Super Cinnamon.

    Re: Next snake for breeding plans.

    Im partial to Cinnamons myself but its is best to have more females than males for future combos. So I would say go with a female fire, vanilla, super pastel, or spider. Unless you can pull off getting 2. Then I would get a male cinnamon. I just love the black snakes.

    The fire and vanilla are lightening genes. If you put one of those to your pastel you get fireflies or vanilla pastels. Both look very similer to a super pastel and have great future combo potential.

    A spider will give you bumblebees. Then keep a male and female bee. Put the male to your cinnamon for cinnabees,pastel cinnamons etc. The female to your pastel to possibly get killerbees.

    At any show from now until summer you may be able to find any of these as an early 09 baby with quite a bit of weight on it. A female like this may be ready to breed by late next season. I produced a dinker pastel girl hatched in may of 09 and she should be more than ready to go by late next season.

    Re: Next snake for breeding plans.

    Ok, so here is what I am thinking now.
    (All females, not getting another male, like you guys said, basically a waste of money and space for now, and all females will be going to my only male pastel.)

    Female Fire to my male --> Fireflie(s)??? Depending on the sex of that, and depending on the sex of the pewter I will eventually have, if I breed them together would that make a good morph, and has it been done before

    Female Pinstripe to my male --> Blast??? Depending on the sex of that, and the sex of the pewter, will it make a good morph, and has it been done before.

    Thanks for all of your opinions, I'm still taking in other idea's, so keep posting them!

    I don't think a Sterling Blast has been done, but I feel like I've heard of a Pewter Blast before.

    As far as Sterling/Pewter Fires, I don't think I've even seen a Super Fire Fly (I'm sure someone made them this year), so no, I don't think anybody has done them yet.

    Sterlings/Silver Streaks (Super Pastel Cinny/Black Pastel) are essentially the same snake, they are just made with Cinny's and Black Pastels respectively. From a Pewter X Pastel pairing, you'll have a 1/8 chance per each egg.

    Silver Bullets (Pastel Super Cinny/ Super Black Pastel) are named the same AFAIK for both morphs. The odds are again 1/8 per each egg from a Pewter X Cinny/ BP pairing
