    Odd Behaviour?

My ball, Serena, had been exhibiting some behaviours that I would consider odd the past few days. Every night, around the same time, she comes out of her hide and starts exploring her tank. Almost as if she is looking for something, or something. Her temps and humidity are all spot on, she is eating well on a 2 week schedule (She just got fed last week), and she is not showing any aggression, or RI signs. I am wondering if this is just her looking for a mate, considering this is breeding season.

Is this what they do when breeding season rolls around? Any and all help will be appreciated on this question.

    Thanks

    Re: Odd Behaviour?

Most ball pythons do this because in the wild they are normally active at night, when they hunt.
You also might want to consider that when they are hatchlings they should get fed every 5-7 days and adults get fed every 7-10 days.

    Re: Odd Behaviour?

ditto on JJ. I feed mine every 7 days and let me tell ya...on the 6th day...they are looking for it.

Snakes are active at night. It is my fav thing to do right before I go to bed to check on them and see what kind of mischief they are doing. You get some great poses late at night.
