    Blushing??

    As a newbie to the herp world could someone please explain to me exactly what blushing means in snakes. I cant seem to find what it is online anywhere so it must be common knowledge and Im just outta the loop. Thanks in advance for the help guy's/ gal's

    Blushing is a term referring to the fading on the back or sides of a snake even the head sometimes. Example..........

    Notice the band of "Blushing" that goes across his back??

    This is a high blushing normal she has it all along her back. Notice the brown/orange color.

    There is also a term called "flames". I think my picture better shows the flames and Teresa's better shows the blushing. Flames are blushings that come up the sides between the pattern.

    Do what I did, just view the Hunter's Guide to Morphs sticky in the Morphs and Genetics forum here.

    It's invaluable for learning what all those fancy terms mean, and can even teach you what to look for when you go to buy that new morph you just "have" to have. lol
