You know, I didn't do much to stop the last attempts at putting bans on snakes. But this time, it just seems to be worse.

A friend of mine watches Ellen Degeneres' talk show almost every day, and she was telling me how she does all kinds of things for people in need, and I figured- What the hell, I'll send her a letter.

It might be a long shot, but not many people outside of the reptile world know this bill is even in existence. All of these Talk shows, all of these celebrity myspace accounts, twitter accounts, facebook accounts. All of that. We are posting all of this on nothing more than herp-related forums and websites. Why not expand that? Who cares if it might be considered "Spamming," I don't care who I annoy to keep the one thing that keeps my life moving.

In addition to sending letters, send videos, USARK banners, comments...anything...to anyone and everyone, by means of any and every outlet. Just because we have pets that don't purr, sit, fetch, and roll over doesn't mean we should be kicked aside because a few species are invading the damn everglades.

I bet there are more plant species invading our country than animal. And if Steve Irwin, or even FDR (hear he kept snakes) were alive, they wouldn't just stop with other herp lovers.

That's just my two cents. Maybe someone is already doing this, but I still urge you to think outside the box on this one.
