i like the shedder aspen but with the amounts i need and the cost of it i get the shaving type for the snakes. it take 6+ bags of the 28 quart size to clean and change my cages back when it was only 10 snakes. I got 19 right now. The sandi chip I like even more but they don't makea super sized bag with in a resaonable price . I am paying currently about 24 bucks for a 8.0(or was it 6.0 )cubic ft compressed bag of the aspen shaving s and I can get about 2 months out of it .

I voted chipped for your herps. If a bit gets swallowed during feeding, (I feed in my racks) it will pass right through. If you feed seperate from your enclosures, the shredded will work fine.

I use the shredded. Split a huge bag with a buddy from the Scott Smiths Expo back in Oct for $14 and I still have a bunch left lol
