what is the best material to use for a snake bag? I have a 100% cotton drawstring bag that I was wanting to use but didn't know if it was a good idea or not. I have since people use pillow case but I don't know what kind of material the pillow cases are. Please some advice. And is there anywhere online to purchase bags?

I move my snake in a normal pillow case thats 100% cotton

Make sure whatever you use has a low thread count so air can pass through the fabric.

Why are trash bags toxic to snakes? I am talking about the black lawn and leaf bags. I was watching a television show and someone discovered a rattlesnake, captured it, and put it in a lawn and leaf bag. Afterwards, the guy called animal control to pick it up. Once the animal control guys got there they said that those bags are toxic to snakes and not to use them for keeping a snake. Sure enough once the bag was opened the snake was dead.

Well I don't see how its toxic either but I am sure the snake just suffocated to death.

Just make sure there arn't a lot of loose threads on the inside from the seams. Or turn the bag inside out.

I keep a couple pillow cases in my truck and I also have a draw string top bag ( for cloths) that I got at walmart ) both work great I liek the drawstring since I canmake a not in the bage after I double it over making it almost impossible ot get free( none have so far )
