    Handling an ovulating female

Ok, so I know I have a while to wait until I need to do this, but it is something I thought about.

Is it safe to handle an ovulating female? If so what is the best way to go about it? Should you support her belly gently, or use something like a sling to move her if you need to?

I'm just worried if I would have to move one, I could hurt her or her eggs.

    Re: Handling an ovulating female

Ovulation itself does not last that long. I believe the actual even is usually over in a matter of around 8-12 hours (Someone correct me if that estimate is too short or too long). That said, I would suggest trying to avoid handling while she is actually ovulating. Afterward gentle handling is fine for cleaning, but I always try to support their belly and be extra gentle with them.
