    picky eater question

someone at a reptile store told me that to get a my kingsnake that is not eating to eat, i should try feeding it in a smaller feeding container to give the prey less room to move around. Will it work with a python? I feel as if they are pretty good predators so it shouldn't matter but could it help?

    Re: picky eater question

If anything, moving the snake to another enclosure will actually make the snake less likely to eat. You are better off feeding the animal in its home enclosure.

I am not familiar with kings but I am under the impression that they aren'y really picky eaters at all.

    Re: picky eater question

This is just my 2 cents and it's worth what I charge Get yourself some tongs and hold the prey by the tail and put it near the snake and let the mouse only crawl towards the snake. The reason for this is the prey can't run around, And with this techniques it usually speeds up swallowing because it almost always sets the pray up to be swallowed head first. This info above is what I do too my picky eaters from all species from inverts to balls
