Albino female doesnt want to pair
Hi
This year my albino pair bp is ready for breed. age and size is fine.
So the problem is with my female albino. i tried many times for days with the male albino to pair but she doesn't accept him. i change 3 different males ( ringer, pastel, albino, normal) but she doesnt need to pair.
she is 2006 1300gr first time breed.
and 100%female
tonight i but the ringer with pastel males with her and i hope it can do some change.
the tip with different male skin doesnt work.
i follow 8ballpythons.com cycle instructions.
any idea?
thanks!

She may not be in the mood. Try cycling her with cooler temps to get her into the mood.

Each female is different and have to adjust to their needs.
also if your taking the male out and puting with the female try putting the female in with the male.

Is it possible she just isn't ready yet? Most breeders I talk to don't breed any females that light but wait until they are in the 1500-1800 gram size. Just a thought.

MANY breeders start at 1300 grams which includes BHB,8ball,RDR and so on. I got a 6 egg clutch last year from 1400 gram female. It all depends on the each female. Most like breeding larger females to get more eggs

Well I have heard some horror stories from people about really really small eggs and snakes dying from not being able to pass eggs, and dying from not being able to put the weight back on fast enough. IDK, if there is even a chance of those things happening, I can wait another season to make sure. There is also a lot of greedy breeders that want to see a return on their investment immediately. That does not mean it is the correct way to do things.

Thats is all opinion as the 1400 gram girl that gave me 6 eggs was 5 years old and just peaked at her size. Her clutch was 590grams for the 6 eggs which is very good. Has nothing to do with investment/money.
I dont see a 1400gram female more at risk than a 1500 gram femae, whats 100 grams 3 meals, its completely safe. And i dont breed females back to back, they get the next season off to recoup.
